How to Set Up a Connection to a Webhook Service

See our detailed documentation to learn how to use the Semantic Middleware Configurator to connect your PoolParty instance to a webhook service.

  1. Access the Semantic Middleware Configurator (SMC).

  2. Expand the External Services node in the Hierarchy Tree on the left.

  3. Double-click the Webhooks node.

    The Set Up New External Webhooks Service dialogue opens.

  4. In the settings section several options are available. Fill out the fields according to the webhook instance's connection values. Details and an example find below.

  5. Confirm with Create.

    You have set up a connection to a webhook service. A node representing the service appears under the Webhooks node.

. Available Options
  • Name: enter a name of your choice for the webhook, recommended is a name that easily lets identify an entry in a list.

  • URL: the URL the webhook is reachable at.

  • Use Credentials: select if you want to use credentials that differ from those of the current user.

    • User Name, Password: the user name and password necessary to authenticate for the access to the webhook service.
