Abstract

How are quality control rules described?

Quality control rules are described by W3C´s SKOS ontology. Poolparty Thesaurus Server has a built-in validator which is recommended also by W3C (http://www.w3.org/2004/02/skos/validation). This engine makes sure that imported data is checked against the SKOS ontology. For editing data the same rules apply and no invalid data can be produced.

Additional quality rules can be defined via SPARQL queries, a set of default quality queries is implemented (for example check for circularities etc.).
