Use Existing Thesauri

Abstract

Use Existing Thesauri to make it easier to start a new PoolParty project/taxonomy.

For many domains there are already existing thesauri which can be (re-)used. Thus, before you start to create a new project take some time to search for vocabularies which could be (re-)used. PoolParty offers the possibility to import thesauri or parts of thesauri in many different formats.

We will use the 'A guide to classic cocktails' thesaurus.

  1. Save locally the ''A guide to classic cocktails' thesaurus RDF/XML file from the https://vocabulary.semantic-web.at/cocktails.html server.

  2. Create New Project Based on RDF Import using the 'A guide to classic cocktails' RDF file.

  3. Complete The Data Import.
