Semantic Middleware Configurator - External Graph Databases

Abstract

PoolParty allows you to set up, edit and delete a connection to an external graph database such as MarkLogic, RDFox or GraphDB. Learn more here.

PoolParty allows you to set up a connection to an external graph database (triple store). It supports a number of enterprise ready graph databases. For a complete list, refer to PoolParty External Graph Database Support.PoolParty External Graph Database Support

The interface of the Semantic Middleware Configurator (SMC) lists the available options on the first page, so you can easily configure the connections to them right there.

Note

GraphDB (just like other graph databases) supports a feature called "inference" which can be quite resource hungry. When configuring an external graph DB in the SMC it is recommended to disable the inference feature since PoolParty already covers these functionalities.

After you have accessed the SMC (1), the Graph Databases node (3) below the Systems node (2) can be expanded displaying entries for all supported graph database types.

When you access the page for the first time, the list (4) will be empty as you have to configure the graph databases first.

Note

You need PoolPartySuperAdmin rights to access the SMC. Otherwise the icon will be hidden.

The graph database configuration is available only with the PoolParty Enterprise Server license or higher.
