Release Notes - PoolParty 2025 R2 (9.7.0)
31/07/2025
PoolParty Semantic Suite 2025 Release 2 (9.7.0) introduces multi-project inference tagging, which enables you to execute SPARQL expansion queries across a combined graph containing all involved projects. The new advanced recommender result filtering helps you quickly locate the most relevant suggestions by refining results based on your specific criteria. Enhanced multi-level tree selection now streamlines bulk operations. The redesigned Product Tours UI, shaped by user feedback, offers clearer guidance for all experience levels.
Highlights
Improvements
Improvements implemented in the current release include:
Enhanced Multi-level Tree Selection and Bulk Operations
This enhancement transforms how you work with SKOS taxonomies by introducing multi-level selection capabilities. While previous versions limited multi-selection to sibling concepts only, you can now select multiple concepts and concept schemes across different hierarchical levels within the SKOS tree. This expanded functionality enables you to simultaneously perform bulk operations—including drag-and-drop, merge, and delete—on multiple items, regardless of their position in the hierarchy. By eliminating the need to process items individually, this feature significantly reduces the time required to manage and reorganize large taxonomies.
Redesigned Product Tours Interface
Based on user feedback, the Product Tours interface has received targeted design improvements to enhance usability. The "Complexity Icon," which previously caused confusion among users, has been relocated to the right side of the interface and now features a descriptive column label that clarifies its purpose. Furthermore, the "Red Dot Icon," which formerly marked incomplete tutorials, has been replaced with a more intuitive "Green Circle with Tick" icon that clearly indicates finished tutorials, making the tour progress more intuitive and straightforward for users.
Visible Custom Classes in Collections
This enhancement resolves a previous limitation where custom classes applied to collections remained hidden from the user interface. When you assign a custom class to a collection, the system now displays it prominently beneath the collection's URI, maintaining consistency with the presentation of custom classes for individual concepts. This visual confirmation allows you to verify applied custom classes at a glance, improving both transparency and workflow efficiency when working with collections.
Automatic Trimming of Leading Whitespaces in Input Fields
PoolParty now automatically trims leading whitespace from input fields to enhance data quality and prevent integration issues. This enhancement builds upon the existing trailing whitespace trimming functionality, ensuring comprehensive data cleansing. The system now processes fields including concept scheme creation, top concept creation, concept creation, collection titles, and concept custom schema attributes to remove unintended leading spaces. This improvement addresses integration failures that previously occurred when unexpected leading spaces disrupted customer workflows.
Workbench 2.3.0
Enhanced project selection functionality to simultaneously support multiple PoolParty projects. Concept extraction, Inference Tagging, and recommendation features now operate across all selected projects, providing broader taxonomic coverage and improved results.
GraphSearch search spaces are no longer loaded when recommendations are not included in your PoolParty license configuration.
Bug Fixes
This release resolves functionality issues that previously prevented users from adding, editing, or deleting relations and attributes within custom ontologies. These improvements apply to both imported ontologies and newly created projects, ensuring consistent performance across all project types
We have resolved an issue that prevented the restoration of deprecated concepts. This problem occurred due to incorrect URI encoding, which generated "Not a valid URI" errors.
Resolved an issue in the SPARQL Shell that caused saved queries to disappear when refreshing the browser or reopening the application tab. The system now ensures that all saved queries persist reliably across sessions.
This update enhances functionality by displaying all relations created with custom schemes, including those from the current project, linked projects, and unlinked or unknown projects.
Corrected an issue in collection displays where the prefLabel column displayed an incorrect prefLabel rather than the one corresponding to the default project language.
