Release Notes - PoolParty 2025 R2 (9.6.1)
30/06/2025
PoolParty's Taxonomy Advisor now incorporates advanced LLM and Generative AI technology to deliver smarter concept suggestions and enhanced document discovery. Critical security updates address multiple CVE vulnerabilities. This release also resolve several issues hence further improving the user experience and overall functionality.
Highlights
Increased coverage of the Taxonomy Advisor
The PoolParty Taxonomy Advisor enhances support for taxonomists and domain experts working with domain-specific taxonomies. The system delivers intelligent suggestions for concepts, definitions, and alternative labels by leveraging advanced Large Language Models (LLMs) and Generative AI technology, making taxonomy creation and enrichment more efficient.
In this release, we expanded the system's coverage to provide more comprehensive results, particularly in suggesting narrower concepts, enabling users to identify and fill taxonomy gaps more effectively.
Improvements
The current release includes the following improvements:
Enhanced document discovery capabilities in GraphSearch: The system now performs comprehensive full-text indexing that exceeds the previous 32kb threshold during search index creation. This enhancement enables more thorough content analysis and significantly improves discoverability of extensive documents.
Security Fixes
This section lists remedied vulnerabilities attributable to third-party software.
Apache Tomcat has been updated to version 10.1.40 to address security vulnerability CVE-2025-31651.
jQuery Validation Plugin has been updated to version 1.19.5, addressing security vulnerabilities: CVE-2022-31147, CVE-2021-43306, and CVE-2021-21252.
DataTables component has been upgraded to version 1.10.23, addressing security vulnerability CVE-2020-28458.
Bug Fixes
PoolParty now offers enhanced project linking functionality, effectively resolving several issues. The system facilitates reliable concept linking through custom ontologies and relations within advanced SKOS and tree views, while also enhancing batch link management. Additionally, the platform addresses connectivity issues between linked projects and ensures the seamless functionality of the "Link to PoolParty" feature.
The Linked Data Frontend (LDF) interface presents significant enhancements to improve user interaction while addressing previous issues. The overview project page now displays content exclusively in the selected language, which enhances clarity and readability. Furthermore, the search functionality operates at full capacity, featuring a correctly positioned search field and responsive query execution.
The export templates functionality has been remedied to improve reliability and performance. The system now saves changes to export templates through the user interface and effectively manages updates to template names and graph URIs in the export dialog. Users can export data using either JSON-LD or RDF/XML templates without encountering "Invalid format" errors.
The SPARQL Shell now maintains saved queries persistently across server refreshes as a resolution to previously experienced issues. Users will find their previously saved queries accessible in the dropdown menu, ensuring uninterrupted workflow continuity.
Related concepts, including narrower and alignment relations, now appear in alphabetical order as intended, enhancing navigation efficiency and usability.
PoolParty offers improved task management that eliminates previously occurring system freezing during concurrent operations. Users can work simultaneously with SPARQL queries and the PoolParty interface while maintaining system responsiveness, with changes applying seamlessly upon commitment.
