Linux: Empty File After Tabular Export in Excel Format

Abstract

Linux: Empty File After Tabular Export in Excel Format

Note

For Linux installations only.

When you do a tabular export in an Excel format, the export results in an empty file (0KB). And when you try to open the resulting file, you receive an error message: the file is in the wrong format or has the wrong extension. To fix this problem you need to install the Fontconfig package. To get Fontconfig package, go to https://pkgs.org/download/fontconfig and instal it with all its dependencies. This will ensure that your tabular export to Excel will be able to select the correct font and generate the file correctly.

Note

Restart PoolParty after you installed the Fontconfig package for the changes to take effect in the Java Virtual Machine (JVM).
