Setup an API User for PoolParty

PoolParty uses Spring Security to configure access to the PoolParty APIs and the SPARQL endpoint.

All users created via The User Management - Overview can also access the APIs. Although restrictions on projects defined via groups apply to the APIs.

You can define an API user or a 'technical user' who is allowed to access projects via the API but cannot access the PoolParty backend. To set up an API user for PoolParty, create a new user in the User Administration and assign them the ApiUser or ApiAdmin role as shown in the screenshot below (1).
