Abstract

Ontology Details View - Individual Classes Node

This section contains a short guide on how to use the Details View of an individual Classes node.

You can access the Details View of the an individual Classes node using the Ontology Management.

The Details View for Core Ontologies and Custom Ontologies is basically the same. Except that you cannot edit Title and Description of core ontologies.

  1. Open the Ontology Management by clicking its icon in the toolbar.

  2. Find the Core Ontologies or Custom Ontologies node inside the Ontologies node. Expand it to display all ontology nodes.

  3. Expand the respective Ontology node you want to see in more detail.

  4. Expand the Classes node to see the Classes tree. Sub-class relations are displayed as a Hierarchy Tree of classes below the Classes node.

  5. Select the individual node of a class in the tree you want to see, for example 'Beverages'. In the Details View on the right you see the following information:

    • The blue sections on the left display the Subclasses, and Disjoint Classes defined for this class. In addition you see if the class itself is Subclass Of another class.

    • The green sections on the right display the Title and Description of the class in all defined languages. For custom ontologies you can change and add Titles and Descriptions.
