The following message may be displayed, when you try to upgrade your PoolParty Windows installation:
'Cannot upgrade PPT installation. Check instructions to manually upgrade to a supported version. Aborting'.
Check if the version of the PoolParty registry entry allows to upgrade to the envisioned version of PoolParty:

PoolParty only allows incremental upgrades.
