The page offers a short guide on user groups, their uses and advantages.
User groups play an important role in PoolParty as you can control access to projects per user with them.
You can assign user groups to users and projects. Based on the users roles this provides the following functionality:
- PoolParty Users can only access projects that have a user group assigned to them they are member of.
- PoolParty Administrators in addition can create and delete projects in the user groups they are member of.
The group Public is a special group in PoolParty. It provides the following functionality:
- Users that have the group Public assigned in turn can assign it to projects. That way projects are publicly available in the Linked Data frontend of the project and the SPARQL Endpoint.
