Disabling the PoolParty Feed

To disable the PoolParty news feed displayed after logging in, follow the steps described here.

Note

This guide assumes the following:

  • You have a PoolParty default installation following the respective installation guide.

  • You also you have no service running on the server using port 80.

Step 1: Stop Your PoolParty Server

On Linux, open a shell and change to root:

sudo -i

Stop PoolParty:

/opt/poolparty/bin/poolparty stop

On Windows, use the Apache Tomcat service application to stop PoolParty.

Step 2: Add the following property to the main configuration file SesameSetup.xml

The file can be found here:

  • GNU/Linux: /opt/poolparty/config

  • Windows: C:\Users\Public\PoolParty\config

<noInternetAccess>true</noInternetAccess>

Step 3: Start Your PoolParty Server

On Linux open a console and change to root:

sudo -i

Start PoolParty:

/opt/poolparty/bin/poolparty start

On Windows, use the Apache Tomcat service application to start PoolParty.
